About Us

The focus of our research is on developing intelligent, human-centric robotics and control technologies for reliable, efficient human-robot interactions and for autonomous systems. Such enabling technologies are timely, critical, at the juncture of AI, robotics and human-machine interaction and have the potential to significantly impact human productivity and quality of life. These technologies include high fidelity haptic interfaces, autonomous adjustment of task authority in shared control for haptic mentoring, home-based rehabilitation robotic systems, and vehicle autonomous driving.

At Interactive Robotics and Intelligent Systems Laboratory, we are committed to the principles of EDI, by creating an inclusive environment for all lab members to feel welcome, by increasing the participation of groups underrepresented in robotics.
